We have TWO treasuries!

We have two Atlantic Treasuries right now! Please visit and click on the various items and make a comment to boost the treasury's place in the treasury lineup. Each person gets nine clicks that count. The more clicks, the higher the spot on the treasury and more views. Front page would be lovely to achieve.

Seaglass and I had the same idea on this cold and frosty morning:))

This is print is called red poppies aqua.
Hey there, another week has passed! Things are slow but steady.
I am wondering how much stock to put in my shop. I was looking at the shops of the "big" sellers and they seem to have a lot of stock. When I first opened I was thinking that maybe people didn't like to troll through lots of things but now I am changing my mind. MOre choices might mean more sales. Any thoughts?

Love, Me Boutique

Slightly off topic from Etsy, but if it weren't for etsy, I would never have found this store. I had purchased this pretty little pouch at the Halifax Farmer's Market from LouLouBell, who happens to have an etsy shop. While checking out her wares online, I noticed that she sells her stuff at Love, Me Boutique in Halifax - a store I hadn't heard of before (I really need to get out more. Or at least get my newspaper subscription back).

Love, Me is on Birmingham Street, tucked in next to Woozles books. It's a fantastic store that sells only handmade items and everything is Canadian, including works by local artists/artisans. If you're in the area, you really should check it out.

Finding out about the store was total serendipity: after having the pouch (a gift) sit around most of Christmas, I only checked out yesterday, and then googled Love, Me. When I got home, I picked up a copy of the Community Herald from the lobby because I was interested in a book by a NSCAD student. As I walked up the stairs, I realised that one of the articles was about Love Me! So I had to check it out on my way to the Market this morning. I was not disappointed. It is full of really pretty items and I look forward to spending some money there (when I have money to spend). It's nice to see a store supporting handmade goods (and the downtown community).

Yeppers, Valentine's Day is fast approaching:)

I've been putting together a few things for Valentine's day.

One of them is a mini gallery of romantic themed photos.
Flowers, chocolate, hearts and the goddess of love:)

And..... I just got some pocket mirrors! I love them!!!

What are you putting together for the V Day?
I love Scotiamade's cards, too funny!

(V) D- Day approaches!

Oh St. Valentine, how your day has brought love and misery to so many!

In honour of this duality, I have a full line of sweet to snarky Valentine cards and notes in the shop.
Stop anywhere on that continuum that you choose!

A time to reflect, a time to move ahead

Well, 2008 is here. Its a new year, with new resolutions and new goals. What are yours this year?

My personal resolutions include all of the cliches... lose weight, get in shape, quit smoking, but the most important to me was striving to be happier and more positive in everything I do. And so far, its helped in so many ways.
So, as a shop owner, what are you goals for 2008? As a team do we have any plans? Lets brainstorm ways to market our shop, advertise our street team and make the Atlantic Provinces Street Team known on Etsy and the web as a whole!
Happy New Year and enjoy your weekend.

PS--this Purple Wall picture from BroomhillPictures is so beautiful, I couldn't resist posting it here. It gives hope for spring.
